A single room skim typically takes a day. Dry lining and skimming might take 2-3 days depending on the size of the room. Larger jobs like full house re-plasters are usually completed within a week. We'll give you a clear timeline before starting so you know exactly what to expect.

Venetian plastering is a specialist decorative finish that creates a polished, marble-like effect on walls. It's built up in thin layers and burnished to a high sheen. It's a premium finish — more expensive than standard plaster — but the result is genuinely stunning. It works beautifully on feature walls, fireplaces, and bathrooms. Carl can talk you through the options and show you samples.

Fresh plaster needs to dry fully before decorating — usually 4-6 weeks depending on ventilation and the time of year. You'll know it's ready when it turns from dark to a uniform light pink. Start with a mist coat (watered-down emulsion) before your topcoats. Carl will always talk you through the aftercare before we leave.

We'd ask that you move smaller items and valuables out of the room. We can help shift larger pieces of furniture. We always lay dust sheets over floors and any furniture that stays in the room — we treat your home as if it were our own. We always clean up after ourselves too.
